Madness

Things are busy around here these days. I suppose everyone is busy this time of year. We went out and did some shopping the day after Thanksgiving (I can't bring myself to call it Black Friday because I think it's a stupid term, along with Cyber Monday) but we waited until evening to venture out. It was more to get out of the house than to do any mad Christmas shopping. Saturday we went out to Station 56 in Tacoma to watch our friends' band again. Brad and Julie were there and this time Dawn and Ryan were able to make it out! We were happy to have the guys finally meet each other and they really hit it off. Owen stayed overnight at my dad's house, which was a first for us. I've never been away from him overnight. He did very well and slept his usual 10-plus hours at night, so I was happy when I heard that!

Laura is home from the Caribbean so we had a late Thanksiving at my mom's last night. She was excited to see Owen and was amazed at how big he's gotten. My mom's neighbor Elise came over to see Owen (she's a physical therapist and works with babies). She was excited to see his progress and told us he is doing great with his crawling and sitting up. She was also impressed with his ability to pull himself up onto his knees.

We hope to put up our Christmas lights today. We normally have ours up the day after Thanksgiving but we need a buy a taller ladder first. Since we're in a new house, we need to reconfigure our light design. I'm a nerd and took a picture of our house and Photoshopped a couple of designs on it. Chris thinks I'm a dork for doing that but it's better to make your plans on the ground rather than winging it on a 30-foot ladder. I'll get a picture of the final result on soon. Wish us luck.

Now, I know you took multiple photos of Owen yesterday. Surely you are either going to post a few of them, or send them to me! :-)
