The Word of the Day Is "Huh?"

Owen turned 7 months on Friday. Yesterday morning he woke up and when I went into his room he looked up and said "huh?". So I said "huh?" back. We continued this conversation during his diaper change and off and on throughout the rest of the day. Huh? Huh? Chris thinks it's hilarious. We decided that we have a very inquisitive child. He asks a lot of questions. Huh?

We were at Mt. View's bingo fundraiser last week and I won two tickets to the PNB Nutcracker. Chris' facial expression was priceless (a combination of "oh crap" and "she's gonna make me wear my suit"). I told him that he's the real winner because the tickets are free (and they are good tickets) and I won't ever ask him to take me again. I know he won't be crazy about the dancing, but I think he will like the orchestra. He likes the Nutcracker soundtrack, but it always sounds better live.

Owen and I met my mom at Red Robin a few nights ago and they gave Owen a balloon. He was rather intrigued and couldn't stop staring at it. He quickly learned how to pull the string and make it move. I love watching his face light up when he experiences things for the first time.

I am totally jealous about the Nutcracker! My family used to go the one in Everett every year when I was growing up. We were pretty stinking poor so that was a huge treat and it has always represented Christmas to me! Now if I can just convince Eric to take me.....
