Happy Birthday, Mom!

Today is my mom's birthday. Since it's the 10th and 10 is one of her favorite numbers, I present...

10 Things I Love About My Mom

1. She is artistic and creative.
2. She has a beautiful singing voice.
3. Her sense of humor is like none other. She's left Chris speechless on more than one occasion.
4. She takes such good care of Ty and the other students at school.
5. She forgives me when I screw up.
6. She is a fantastic grandmother.
7. She looks like Sarah Palin, and Sarah Palin is hot.
8. She likes sports.
9. She has good ideas.
10. She puts family first.

Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg. I could go on forever. So anyway, Happy Birthday Mom! I love you :)

If anyone has something to add, please feel free...

A few more important things to add to the list... 1) Shes my godmother 2) When I was a kid she would make me the worlds best jam and butter sandwiches ever. I'm serious, these things were legendary to me. 3) She has always been there for me. Thank You. Happy Birthday Aunt Nancy. Love, Charlie

I've never done this before but for my baby sister -- I'll see if I can do it!

Nancy -- I still remember Mom & Dad bringing you home -- I was so excited! To me it seemed like you slept all the time -- so I asked Mom how old you had to be before you opened your eyes (-:

You are one of the most generous and loving individuals I've ever known -- beautiful from the inside out and the outside in. I am blessed to have you as my sister.

Lots of love to you today & every day. Happy Birthday -- Sandra

Let's talk about #3 and #4. She has a sense of humor like none other and She takes such good care of Ty. If Ty has something in his lunch that she wants and Ty doesn't want it, she eats it. If she has something Ty wants from her lunch, regardless if she wants it or not, Ty gets it! Ty tells me "Kreuger" stories from school. He may not remember what he did at school, but he remembers what Kreuger did! Happy birthday, Nancy! Thank you for taking care of Ty with a sense of humor like none other! Karen Quandt, Ty's mom

Happy birthday Auntie Nancy! I recall back to what is now (gasp!) almost 20 years ago. I would pedal my bike up the hill from Sumner and be rewarded with the best chocolate chip milkshake in all the land. Happy birthday, love Turkey Lips!

We'll overlook the unfortunate fact that she is godmother to Charlie, of all people...

Aside from that....
She always plans things that enable our family to be together.
She's constantly entertaining.
She's got a great heart.

Happy birthday Aunt Nancy!
XOXO

#1; when we share the guest room at Tipp she tolerates my snoring
#2: And because of the above attribute when we share the guest room at Tipp out of the kindness of my heart I ignore to the best of my ability her active colon
#3 Nancy wears her heart on her sleeve.....she has a heart so big it almost bursts from her chest
#4: Her sense of humor is like nothing ANYONE can match
#5:She always always puts family first
#6:She loves Owen
#7: her devotion to Ty is real, true and from the bottom of her soul
#7: When we were little and she was mad at me she would say " I am going to tell on you" and I would say " I didn't do anything" and she would say " I'll make something up".....I forgive you for that because now I realize your creative thinking was forming even at that young age!
#8: Sandra should be thanking you for all of the doughnut holes you saved for her and for rescuing her candy bar!!!! Once again, your kindness showing at a young age!
Nancy Kay, have a wonderful birthday. You are a treasure to this family and to your friends and to all whose lives you have touched.

Just think, this time last year I had to live with Nancy. I never thought our house would get done. I'm still trying to drink those memories away. However, she did do my laundry and even folded it. That was pretty cool. The first time I met Nancy I ripped a big fart in her living room. She didn't mmiss a beat and ripped one right back. Happy Birthday!

Ok, I give up! Who is "Turkey Lips!

Anonymous said...

Turkey Lips would be Cousin Eric from Boise. Not really sure where we came up with the nickname but that's what we've always called him.

And for a long time Laura couldn't say it right and I was known as Turkey Whips!
