My mom's friend Chris left me a voicemail while we were camping, inviting us to a suprise "Grandma" shower for my mom. I'm glad we made it home in time because the next morning, Owen and I got up early and met everyone at Ma's Place on South Hill. I've driven past it a million times but have never been there. Anyway my mom is the one who planned the breakfast and invited everyone, but Chris is the one who decided to turn it into a shower. My mom was so funny when she arrived and saw Owen and me. She said her first thought was "how weird that they are here at the same time as us for breakfast!" 
There were seven of us plus Owen (from the left: Owen, Chris, Cathy, Keri, Roxanne, Karen, and Mom) and she received some very nice gifts. Things like books, eating utensils, toys, etc. that she can keep at her house for when Owen visits. Everyone took turns holding Owen and he was a real sweet pea. I am glad that my mom has such nice friends. I hope they invite me next time they go out to eat. (Hint hint!)
