First Father's Day!

Chris experienced his first Father's Day on Sunday! Owen and I had so much fun shopping together. We bought him a bunch of gifts including a silver charm engraved with Owen's name and birthdate. Chris wears a necklace under his uniform that his tac officer gave his class in the academy, and I thought it would be meaningful for Chris to have an Owen charm with him at work.

Unfortunately Chris wasn't feeling well so he crashed on the couch while Owen and I went and visited Dad. We bought him four koi (two yellow and two white) for his pond. We stuck around for a little bit and visted with he and Ashley. Laura was there as well.

When I got home, Terry and Kathy were at the house for a short visit. We took a couple of pictures and actually got Terry to smile in one! (I lectured him on the need to smile for pictures.) See how nice he looks!

Owen had his 2-month checkup yesterday and things went well! He's getting big: 12lb 8oz (70th percentile) and 24 inches long (80th percentile). One month ago he was in the 40-50th percentile, so he's done some major catching up! I can see how he'd be cranky during that growth spurt. He had 4 immunizations and did well. We were expecting a Major Response like last time, since this time he was getting 4 shots. However he took it like a man and did fine. I think the Snoopy band-aids helped.
I'm all over the place with my timeline here, but my mom came over and watched Owen again on Saturday night. Chris and I met up with friends at Station 56 to watch the band play. This nasty old chick didn't like the way I was mocking her weird friends on the dance floor. I almost invited her out to the parking lot but remembered that I'm a mom and need to be more responsible. Haha!
We have a busy week ahead of us! Mariners game tomorrow and family reunion and camping starting on Friday! More updates and pictures will follow, of course. Thanks to everyone who visits our site. We have fun maintaining it.

Hiya Team Johnson !

I love keeping up with your news this way.

Hope we can find time this summer to get together- maybe you all might want to wander to West Seattle sometime ?

:) Maria
